At its virtual 2021 Ignite event on March 2nd, Microsoft announced that its Teams product is getting new features.
The additions include end-to-end encryption for one-to-one calls and a webinar capacity of 1,000 participants. If your webinar attendees are more, there is an option that supports up to 10,000 users. However, you will have to switch to a broadcast mode, which is view-only.
Further, the updates include PowerPoint Live – a feature that will allow presenters to view their notes, slides, chat, and participants in a single feed. Another new feature is Team Connect that allows users to share channels with other people regardless of whether they are part of the same organization or not.
Since remote working is the new normal, Microsoft developed these features to improve how people communicate and collaborate.
