Google One the company’s cloud storage subscription service has added a 5TB tier to its offerings, according to 9to5Google.
Prior to this addition, the company offered six storage tiers: 100GB, 200GB, 2TB, 10TB, 20TB, and 30TB.
With this tier, Google provides an option for people who need more than 2TB but can’t afford the next available 10TB tier. It costs $24.99/month, in line with the $5/terabyte that is also applicable to the 2TB, 10TB, 20TB, and 30TB tiers. However, you can save 17% by paying $250 for an entire year’s subscription.
Like the 2TB and 10TB tiers, the new 5TB offers certain perks. These include a 10% discount on Google Store purchases, a VPN for Android devices, access to Google experts, and a family-sharing option.
This development comes on the heels of the ending of unlimited free storage on Google Photos.
