Microsoft unveiled the Windows 11 operating system in June and announced that it will be available from the 2021 holidays.
For existing Windows 10 users, the update will be available as a free download. And for non-users who want the new OS, it will be available for a fee. While Microsoft’s announcement outlines a holiday season release, there have been hints to suggest it will come sooner. These hints include press images for the operating system, pop-up messages during the reveal event, and an announcement on Walmart’s website.
The new Windows 11 has several new features. They include a new Mac-like design, better virtual desktop support, Xbox tech for improved gaming, and updates to Microsoft Teams and the Start Menu.
Finally, the OS’s public beta version is already available. You can download it if you can’t wait until the full release.
